The story behind electric cars would take years to talk about so we are going to focus on the future of electric cars instead. Brooks Weisblat, owner of dragTimes and fastest Tesla P85D, has been on the hunt to make the stock 691HP electric monster even faster. It all started when he received his electric all-wheel drive P85D and took it to the drag strip in West Palm Beach known as Palm Beach International Raceway|PBIR.. Now this isn’t Weisblat’s first fast car. Weisblat has owned different breed supercars that include Dodge Viper, Lamborghini LP570 Super Trofeo, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari F430, Porsche’s and a few other toys.
ADV.1 worked with Weisblat and Speed Design in order to create the PULSE Wheel program manufactured directly for Tesla owners. The new custom wheel program gives Tesla owners the chance to not only change the look of their Tesla but enhance the drive ability and performance with the new lightweight forged monoblock design. Before putting the wheels onto Weisblat’s P85D, a private track day was scheduled to test the before & after performance in order to beat his previous Tesla track record. The premium electric vehicle arrived on a flatbed to ensure a full charge and would again get another full charge after the first pass.
Weisblat’s original record was 11.7. After the first pass of the day, our Logistics Manager/Race car driver Danny jacked up the Tesla and switched out the wheels for the MAG9 wrapped in Michelin PS2. The sun was coming down quickly so we did everything possible to get the Tesla recharged for the second pass. Ready….Set….Go! We can’t even hear Weisblat’s Tesla P85 roar down the track except for the sticky track compound beating on the inner fenders. After the new world record pass 11.62, Weisblat comes to the paddock with a grin from ear to ear and says lets go faster. Since they were new tires, Weisblat took the Tesla again for two more passes each beating his previous record. With a new world record of 11.6, the ADV.1 PULSE wheel program is proven to be a must upgrade for Teslas owners. Tesla Insane mode & ADV.1 Wheels go hand in hand.
