Mercedes-Benz revealed the 2016 AMG GT S last year with a rumor of an Edition 1 being built. We knew we had to get our hands on one immediately so we did. Not only did we get one of the first AMG GT S Edition 1 to hit the states, we also were the first to fit a set of forged wheels on the beast. Mercedes dropped in a 4.0 AMG bi-turbo V8 pushing over 500 horsepower from factory and a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT (dual clutch transmission) to handle putting power to the ground. Yes it is fast from factory but wait till you see what we did!

Immediately after receiving the GT S, the vehicle was transported to RENNtech. For those who do not know, they are the biggest adult candy store for Mercedes owners oh and they also do pretty impressive Mercedes Benz ECU tunes and carbon fiber aerodynamics. I have to say this was another very successful collaboration between RENNtech Mercedes and ADV.1 Wheels as we bring you the World’s First 10 Second Mercedes AMG GT S Edition 1 in the 1/4 mile. The GT S is equipped with RENNtech’s ECU Tune and custom downpipes with 200 cell sport cats installed.  The wheels currently on the vehicle are our signature ADV5.2 Track Spec CS in a Matte Bronze finish 20×9.5″ up front and 21×12″ rear. Thanks to Pirelli and ADV.1 Wheels for getting this set mounted on the GT S.

June 19th, 2015 at Palm Beach International Raceway documents the day for the World’s First AMG GT-S 10sec 1/4 Mile Pass.
