It had been two months since our Driver, Casey Adamo, had taken his first stab at road course racing and a violent stab at that. On his first day ever driving on a race track, Casey managed to pull out a fourth place finish at Round 2 of Redline Time Attack at Willow Springs Raceway. This set the pace for a 3rd place finish at Chuckwalla Raceway in April.
If you’ve ever raced or built a car before you know that theres a feeling you get even after you’ve given it your all, you think to yourself, “What if I just pushed it a little more in that corner.” or “What if I upgraded the suspension, exhaust, brakes, tires, etc.” Some people refer to this as a disease known as the “Race Bug” and there’s no cure for it. The only treatment is to progress and Casey was determined to do just.
On May 31st we returned to Willow Springs Raceway for Round 4 of Redline Time Attack. This time we had some experience on our side but so did the other racers. It was clear that even though we had raced on the track before taking home a podium finish wouldn’t be easy. As Casey’s driving skills had been progressing over the last two months so had ever growing list of performance parts on his 2015 Subaru WRX STI. With the addition of new Swift Springs at Chuckwalla Raceway the car felt planted and this gave Casey the confidence to push the car into a P3 Finish. For this next race we partnered up with StopTech High Performance Brake Systems. They fitted our STI with their top of the line Trophy Big Brake Kit. An upgrade that would undoubtably shave some time off our laps and not to mention look incredible behind our all new ADV10M Track Function CS Motorsport Wheels wrapped in ultra grippy Hankook RS-3 Tires. In the words of former Top Gear presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, “MORE POWER!!!” COBB Tuning came through with their Stage 3 STI Pack that included an Accessport, Intake, Airbox, Downpipe, Cat-Back Exhaust, Heatshield, High Flow Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit, 725cc Fuel Injectors, and classy a COBB Badge. Christmas had came early to say the least and we were ready to give back and show grateful we were by putting down some fast lap times.
