The Porsche 991 GT2 RS was revealed by Porsche at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It was launched alongside the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. The vehicle features a 3.8 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that has a maximum power output of 700 horsepower at a whopping 7,000 RPM and 750 N⋅m (553 lb⋅ft) of torque. In turn, this makes the GT2 RS the most powerful production 911 ever built. However, unlike the previous GT2’s, the vehicle comes with a speedy and rather highly-debated 7-Speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) transmission system, needed to handle the excessive torque produced from the engine.
In turn, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS will sprint from 0-60mph (0-97km/h) in as low as 2.7 seconds, whilst achieving a top speed of 211mph (340km/h).
The vehicle features several cutting-edge lightweight construction items. Its roof is made out of magnesium, while the front lid, front and rear wings and boot lid are made out of lightweight carbon fiber. Furthermore, the front and rear apron made of lightweight polyurethane, rear and side windows made of polycarbonate and the exhaust system is made from titanium, further lowering its weight. In turn, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS weighs in at just 3,241 lb (1,470 kg).
With all of the above, it’s no wonder that, in late September 2017, the 911 GT2 RS driven by a Porsche test driver Lars Kern set a 6:47.3 minute lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, averaging a speed of 184.11 km/h. And that – at the time – made it the production car lap time recorded on the rather famous race track. And in the end, the GT2 RS is one of the most impressive high-performance machines built for track speed that money can buy.

The vehicle features a set of custom-made ADV10 Track Spec CS Series three-piece forged wheels. Sized 20×9.5 in the front and 20×12.5 in the rear, the wheels perfectly match the specifications needed for this high-performance application. Furthermore, these feature a Brushed Matte Cognac and a Brushed Aluminum finish combination, giving it an impeccable look against the black exterior of the GT2 RS itself. Finally, a 50/50 Exposed Titanium Hardware option sets the tone for this wheel setup.
