Yeah, this is a chameleon wrapped Golf R. There’s no way around it. Some will love it, some will hate it. But the fact is that this looks pretty damn interesting any way you put it. Even though the Golf MKVI didn’t get the praises it’s predecessor the MKV or its successor, the MKVII got, it’s still a rather good looking car. Furthermore, with a high-performance version like the Golf R, the power levels, acceleration, and handling are always held to a high standard. However, the sixth-generation Golf R was almost never been.
The vehicle was dubbed as the Golf R20 going into the 2009 Frankfurt International Auto Show. It was supposed to be a direct replacement for the Golf R32. And finally, when the auto show started and the Golf R was revealed, we got to see a worthy successor to one of the most famed vehicle model lineages out there. Upon release, the vehicle brought exactly the same power levels and performance all have been expecting from it. The Golf R featured a 2.0-liter FSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 266 horsepower and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The engine was mated to either a seven-speed DSG or a six-speed manual transmission and a revised Haldex 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. As a result, the Golf R could sprint from 0-62mph >80-100km/h) in 5.5 seconds for the DSG equipped models and 5.7 seconds for the manual tranny models. Unfortunately, the U.S and Canadian markets featured a slightly detuned engine when launched, but that was taken care of by ECU tuning as soon as the first enthusiast got their units delivered.

For this build, the wheels are machined in sizes of 19×8.5 in the front and 19×8.5 in the rear, a necessity of the Golf R’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. Furthermore, the wheels feature a Platinum Black finish, working perfectly with the green painted big brake calipers behind them.
