Tesla is currently building three distinct versions of the Model 3: the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus, Performance, and Long Range versions. The Performance is the most powerful and luxurious, the Long Range offers, well, longer range, and the Standard Range Plus is the most affordable version, and unlike its AWD (All Wheel Drive) siblings, it comes with RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and a battery with slightly less capacity. These are the three current versions offered by the electric carmaker. However, for a short period of time (between October 2018 and March 2019) Tesla built a Mid Range version of their entry-level electric vehicle. This was a move executed by the carmaker in order to provide a solution for owners that wanted a bit more range than the Standard Range versions but didn’t want to go full-blown on a Performance or Long Range cars.
The vehicle came with a 52kWh battery, allowing an EPA range of 264 miles (425 km) combined and costing about $40,000 when it was released.
Just like the newer, Standard Range Plus models, it also came with an RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) setup and could do a sprint from 0-60mph (0-97km/h) in 5.2 seconds, as advertised. However, with several over-the-air updates, some owners are reporting that to be shaven down to about 4.8 – 4.9 seconds. Not a bad result for a car with a single motor powering its axle.
This Deep Blue Metallic Tesla Model 3 Mid Range comes from Unplugged Performance. The Hawthorne, California based tuner specializes in high-performance parts and upgrades for Tesla vehicles. Furthermore, a few weeks back, one of their Model 3 Performance cars even ran the Pikes Peak Race, one of the most challenging automotive races out there. Simply put, these people know Teslas. And by going with a set of ADV5.0FLOWSpec wheels for one of their builds just gives you show what the industry feels about our recently revealed FLOWSpec line.
