While some other British car makers – like Aston Martin, for example – are getting more exposure and praise these days, Jaguar, like that silent cool kid that will one day create Facebook, has been working effortlessly in sheer silence, bringing some of the most beautiful modern marvels to the market. The company was in a rut just a few years ago, but it seems they’ve nicely turned the tide for themselves From the advent of the Jaguar XE, Jaguar XJ to the F-Type, the classy, understated luxury automobiles make for a perfect alternative to the usual German choices in their respective segments.
On the other hand, understated doesn’t mean powerless. No way! The new Jags pack a nice punch! Specially the one featured in this build. The Jaguar F-Type is clearly one of those vehicles that you don’t hear a lot about, but they do make a mark for themselves in the automotive world.
For example, the Jaguar F-Type is powered by the 5.0 Liter V8 engine in the most powerful version. The engine in this version produces 575 horsepower, powering all four wheels, courtesy of the F-Type’s All Wheel Drive (AWD) system. This allows the Jaguar F-Type to go from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3.7 seconds, while achieving a top speed of 322km/h. That puts it smack in the middle of some great car company.
The owner of this Caldera Red Jaguar F-Type Convertible seemed fit to add more custom flavor to his vehicle. A visit to our authorized dealer ATT-TEC Performance in Germany allowed him to add some personal touches. Namely, a set of ADV5.2 M.V2 CS Series wheels was installed.
Part of our Competition Spec series, these wheels are lightweight and strong. The lightweight aspect allows the owner to achieve pristine looks of his vehicle, albeit without any significant impact on performance aspect. These ADV5.2 wheels come in sizes of 21×9.5 in the front and 21×11 in the rear. The wheels are finished in a Brushed Aluminum finish with Polished Aluminum lips. Additionally, a further option of 50/50 Exposed Hardware is chosen, giving the setup a few nice details.
