Alright, sure. A widebody Chevrolet Corvette C8 is not the first thing that pops to mind when thinking about American muscle cars. However, this particular Light Gray Corvette C8 2LT will definitely grab your attention.
For those that are unfamiliar with it. the C8 Corvette is a direct result of several experimental CERV prototype vehicles created by the U.S carmaker. In addition to that, this is the first mid-engined Corvette since the first-generation of the Corvette was introduced back in 1953. To make matters even more interesting, this is GM’s first production mid-engined sports car since the Pontiac Fiero was discontinued back in 1988, creating a completely novel design for the Corvette model family. And what a beautiful design this is.
This generation of the Corvette comes with a 6.2L V8 engine, delivering 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system, the C8 Corvette is capable of reaching 62mph (100km/h) from a standstill in under 3.0 seconds. In addition to that, the mid-engined platform with a rear-wheel-drive system promises an amazing driving experience.
As a result, the Corvette C8 is a great platform and foundation for aftermarket tuning projects. Just like this one.
For this C8 build, the owner of this Corvette went with several high-profile aftermarket additions. The most notable ones are the DuraflexAero Grand widebody kit and a set of custom-made ADV10RF Track Spec Advanced Series wheels.
As you will see from the media gallery below, this body kit consists of a front bumper, wide front fenders, side skirts, rear widebody fenders, a split ducktail spoiler, and a rear bumper. Furthermore, you’ll notice several carbon-fiber trim pieces, such as the air intake, carbon fiber hood, side mirrors, side skirt lips, front and rear lips, all adding the extra touch to this build. Overall, the kit adds an aggressive not that many fans of the import tuning scene will definitely love. Oh yes, we forgot about the Lambo doors, something that might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but what is a perfect addition to this extravagant build, that’s for sure.
While the widebody kit might be the first thing you’ll notice with this build, these gorgeous ADV10RF Track Spec Advanced Series wheels certainly add the perfect exclamation point.
A brand new ADV.1 design, these wheels feature a mesh directional design with floating spokes, giving this C8 Corvette a perfect exterior look. For this project, we’ve machined these wheels in sizes of 20×9.5 in the front and 21×12 in the rear, filling out those large wheel arches perfectly. The wheels are adorned with a Brushed Gloss Liquid smoke w/ Brushed with Gloss Clear finish and an Exposed Titanium Hardware option. And as you will see from the images below, perfect fitment was achieved for this tricky aftermarket build nontheless.
Finally, the owner went with an air suspension for his ride, ensuring the stance of his Corvette will be flawless at any car meet he goes to. A Borla Exhaust, Solar throttle bodies, a Halltech intake, Lighting Trends lighting, and an RPM roll cage can also be found within this build.
All that now remains is to feast your eyes on this Light Gray Corvette C8 build in the media gallery below.
